Medical emergency? Proofbits is not designed for emergencies. If you or someone else is seriously unwell or in danger, call 108 immediately or go to your nearest emergency department.
1. Medical Disclaimer
Proofbits facilitates video consultations with registered healthcare professionals. It is designed for minor, short-term conditions such as colds, headaches, and similar illnesses that may require a short period of leave. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, or manage serious, chronic, or emergency medical conditions.
Any advice, assessment, or certificate provided through the Service reflects the independent clinical judgement of the healthcare professional you consult, based on the information you provide during that session.
2. Healthcare Professionals
All healthcare professionals available through Proofbits are registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and hold current, valid registration to practise in Australia. Under Australian law, appropriately registered pharmacists and other healthcare professionals may provide certain healthcare advice and issue certificates for sick or carer's leave.
3. Certificate Validity
- Certificates are issued as signed digital documents and include a unique reference number for verification.
- A certificate reflects the professional's assessment at the time of the consultation only.
- Acceptance of a Proofbits certificate is at the discretion of the recipient organization (employer, university, or other institution); Proofbits cannot guarantee acceptance by every third party.
4. Regulatory Compliance
Proofbits operates in accordance with applicable Australian healthcare, privacy, and consumer protection legislation, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Consumer Law. Health records generated through the Service are retained in line with relevant health record-keeping requirements.
5. Complaints Process
If you have a concern about a consultation, a certificate, or the conduct of a healthcare professional, please contact us so we can investigate. Complaints relating to a registered professional's conduct may also be raised directly with AHPRA.
